The official records
The authoritative record for Israeli companies sits with the Registrar of Companies (Rasham HaChavarot), a unit of the Israeli Corporations Authority under the Ministry of Justice. It registers, supervises and dissolves companies and issues each a nine-digit company number, limited companies typically begin with the digit 5, used across contracts, tax filings and bank onboarding. With well over 350,000 registered entities, that registry is the backbone of any reliable map of who is actually trading in Israel.
