Privacy
Privacy policy. What data moves and where.
This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the website atlasforgex.com, the Atlas program or the Kimiko Caller app. It also explains what Atlas sends to our server while you search.
1. Data controller
Tarmex Oy, business ID 3579018-8, Finland. Privacy contact: atlasforgex@proton.me, phone +358 50 375 9852.
2. The most important point first: Atlas shares the company data it finds
Atlas searches and enriches companies on your computer. When the program finds data for a company, it sends the company row to our server. The rows are merged into a shared company bank, which other Atlas users also receive data from. It works the other way too: your searches benefit from what others have already found.
The company rows sent to the server contain:
- the company name, registration number, country and industry
- the company website, phone number and email address
- public information related to the company, such as names and roles of decision-makers
- your licence identifier, so we know where the row came from
What is shared with other users is limited:
- Decision-maker names that your program found are not shown to other users.
- Email addresses at free email services (such as gmail.com or hotmail.com) are not shared with others, because they are usually a person's own mailbox and not the company's.
- The company's own address, phone number and website are shared.
Sharing is on by default. If you do not want rows sent with your licence to be shared, write to atlasforgex@proton.me.
Your own lists, notes, lead bank, deal markings and reminders are stored on your computer. They are not sent to the shared bank.
3. What data we collect about you
| Data | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Licence, subscription, support and, if you asked for them, the weekly signals by email | For the subscription and one year after it, the signals list until you ask to be removed |
| Billing details | Payments. Card details are handled by Stripe, we do not see them. | As required by accounting law |
| Licence key and device identifier | Licence check and preventing misuse | For the subscription |
| Company rows sent by the program | Shared company bank, see section 2 | As long as the company data is in use |
| Website chat messages | Replying and improving the chat | No automatic deletion, we delete on request |
| Support messages | Solving problems | 2 years from the last contact |
| Website usage statistics | Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking | According to Google's own retention periods |
4. Legal basis for processing
- Contract: licence, payments and support.
- Legitimate interest: licence check, the shared company bank, processing public company data for sales and marketing, and website usage statistics.
- Consent: the weekly signals by email.
- Legal obligation: keeping accounting records.
5. Who receives data
- Stripe: payment processing.
- Hetzner: our servers, Finland.
- Google: Analytics 4 and Google Ads on the website, and Google Fonts. Not used in the program.
- Anthropic: website chat messages are processed with Anthropic's Claude language model to form a reply.
- Proton Mail: our email.
- Microsoft and Apple: app stores, if you install Atlas from the Microsoft Store or use the Kimiko Caller app.
- Other Atlas users: company rows within the limits of section 2.
Stripe, Google and Anthropic may process data in the United States. Transfers are based on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not sell personal data.
6. Cookies
The website uses Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads cookies for visitor statistics and for measuring advertising results. The tracking library loads only when you interact with the page or after four seconds. The Atlas program and Kimiko Caller do not use cookies.
7. Security
- All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).
- The licence check uses signed tokens, not passwords.
- Every program update has a checksum and a signature.
More: Security and installation.
8. Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask for it to be deleted, to restrict processing, to object to processing and to move the data to another system. If your company or your name is in the Atlas company bank and you want it removed, tell us. We reply within 30 days.
You can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman or the authority in your own country: tietosuoja.fi.
9. Kimiko Caller
Kimiko Caller shows the name of the company that is calling. The app has no account, no login and no analytics. It downloads a list of companies' public numbers and names from our server, and the phone compares the caller to this list in its own memory. The app does not read your contacts, your calls or your call history. The list contains only company numbers from public company registers, OpenStreetMap and companies' own websites.
10. Changes
When there is a significant change to this policy, we tell customers by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. This version replaces the 1 January 2026 version, which wrongly stated that Atlas does not send the company data it finds to our server.
